The Importance of Parent and Community Involvement
Paideia is more than a school for your children; it is a community for our families. Paideia means the whole child, we’ve extended it to mean “Whole Child – Whole Families!” The Paideia idea resonates with families across our community resulting in strong and supportive involvement of all parents (to include grandfamilies) in the life of the school. When parents share their knowledge, talents, and service they help create a more enriched environment. Through the involvement of many, the quality of the the learning experience at Paideia is greatly enhanced.
There are many ways to get involved at Paideia. Parents help in classrooms, serve on PTO committees, share skills and interests with students, raise money for special Paideia projects, act as leaders for the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and contribute hours of service at the school. Paideia families are enriched as parents create lasting bonds of friendship through service at the school.
You’ll get a feel for the synergy and excitement that makes Paideia special when you walk through our campus and participate in the life of the school. Volunteering at Paideia is a great way to get to know the faculty and staff and your child’s classmates and experience the school in action. Most significantly, as you serve, you will experience the love we have for you and your children and be empowered to spread that love throughout our community!
