“Motivation” by Gracie Lynn

My motivation to be a successful scholar is trying my best and not giving up. When I started third grade I was at a second grade level and that was not good. So I said to myself, “I’m not giving up! I’m going to try hard and practice what I’m not growing in.”  I didn’t let anything stop me.  Now I’m at the fourth grade level.  I want to go to the fourth grade because I want to show my mom and dad that I can do this and nothing is going to stop me from doing my best. Nobody is going to tell me to go on the wrong path. I’m the one who chooses my path.

Gracie is a quiet, unassuming third grade scholar in Mrs. Noyse’ class. This essay shows the power of whole-child education and the love and nurturing power of wonderful teachers and parents.  Thank you, Gracie for having the quiet power to lead us!  Dr. Winsor
