Teacher Coach

Teacher Biography

I am Heather Scarnato and I am so excited to begin my 18th year in education. I obtained a Bachelors Degree from Barat College in Lake Forest, Illinois in the late nineties. My degree is in Elementary Education. In 2006, I was honored to earn a Masters Degree in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University, Chicago, Illinois. The majority of my career has been spent in a first grade classroom. That is a place I love as I love to see the young minds grow and change through the course of only one year. I enjoy watching the children discover and find their voice and confidence along the way.

I am overjoyed to begin my fourth year with my Paideia family, serving our community as the K-2 Curriculum Coach. I am so excited to help the educators discover their voice as we work together in this next year. My mission is to help all children learn to succeed and I am elated to be able to extend my reach further this year. I am looking forward to watching so many children and educators learn and grow.

Personally, I moved to Arizona from the Chicagoland area in 2013. I immediately accepted a position at Paideia Academy and knew that I had found my place. I have two children that are 15 and 7. They are my pride and joy and the true loves of my life. I enjoy hiking, fishing the cold Alaska waterways, being outdoors, reading, writing, painting, and spending quality time with my children.

I am looking forward to another wonderful year in sunny Arizona at this wonderful, joy filled school.
